Program Summary

Eckerd’s Alternative Certification for Teachers (ACT) program is a collaborative effort with participating school districts or educational institutions. The program also includes a comprehensive Teaching Skills Assessment Program (TSAP) that includes 7 assessment instruments, one of which is the ATTP-Gap Analyzer. The TSAP process produces a comprehensive feedback report that leads to a detailed “action plan” for guiding follow-on teacher education and mentoring activities. The program takes approximately 2 years to complete.
